Making choices is a path that we all have to take at some point.
God created us free and for this freedom to be pronounced we must choose.
Choose to stand up,
Choose to move forward,
Choose to succeed,
Choose to work,
Choose who to make a living with,
Choose the place of our residence …
Choices are part of our lives and that is why our choices determine our lives, each choice has positive or negative consequences.
It is not easy to discern which way to go, we are surrounded so much by bad advisers that we have an interest in clinging to the Lord, he is the sure and reliable counsel.
We spend all our time breaking God’s prohibitions yet it is to protect us and prevent us from slipping into the clutches of the devil.
Either way, the decisions we make bless us, influence us, or impact us.
The choice is ours.
We can build our future or destroy it.
Sooner or later bad decisions will always get us in trouble.
Saul was king in Israel.
He was powerful, but he needed Samuel to make the sacrifice.
By his authority, he had to respect the spiritual hierarchy established by God.
Because the priest was late, because the king thought he was still the king, because impatience had blocked him, he made a mistake, he made a bad decision, he thought he had all the powers and the royalty was taken from him.
What are these decisions that we take without thinking and that tear us away from the Christian walk?
What choices do we hastily make without consulting the Lord that rob us of our joys and blessings?
If impatience may have stolen the throne from Saul, discouragement also slows us down and delays the flowering of our sheaves.
Let’s ask Reuben, Gab and part of Manassee a little, they said to themselves that they have already made too much effort, that the Canaan that God promises them is undermined, they cannot spread there with all their brothers, on top of that, they are locusts in front of the giants who occupy their heritage.
These peoples preferred to get out of the path of promise, they chose to steer clear of the promised land, they made a bad decision but still went to accompany their brothers to take possession of their wealth before returning.
Let’s be careful with our choices.
Abraham put all mankind in trouble until today, the day he decided to go down to Egypt to take Hagar and have a baby, he chose to inject instability into the world as well.
These decisions that we take without consulting God, without going to the altar to recharge our batteries, without support from the word.
We take everything lightly and have caught up with time.
Hanging out with someone who likes to go out at night and party can delay our plans and prevent us from fulfilling ourselves.
The Lord challenges us this morning on the quality of our lives and not on the level of our lives.
God has a wonderful plan for each of us, He has prepared our lives in advance, and that doesn’t mean we won’t face challenges.
Giving his life to the Lord is a decision of our free will, God will not force anyone, we must choose and assume.
We want happiness, status, opulence, but are we making good choices to achieve them?
It is not a scandal to have weaknesses, we must face them, recognize that we are weak and let God act.
Let’s be different, let’s be friendly, let’s be helpful.
In the book of Micah, 3: 2 – You hate good and you love evil; You tear off their skin and flesh from off their bones.
Fast and pray not to go after wrong choices.
We are Christians, the children of God.
God hates evil, he cannot stand it, he is the expression of good.
We are driven to violence.
The Lord who loves us invites us to hate evil, to denounce it, to flee from it, to move away from it.
We hate to give love around us, we choose troubles, divisions, wars.
This is not what the Lord wants us for, he wants everyone to show generosity and sharing.
And that depends on us, it depends on the path we have decided to take.
Let’s be careful with our decisions because taking responsibility is a different story.

Have a good day
