Beloved Ones, when we meet someone who is humble, we tend to want to despise them, trample on them, exploit them.
We want to dominate it because we judge it weak and we want to profit from it yet we are men before God.
We like to pretend to be humble and very quickly, we blame others for it yet we are not better.
The Pharisees bring to Jesus a woman surprised of adultery, she is threatened with stoning in the name of the law.
Through this story, we can understand that the Lord wants us to know that we are all sinners and that we do not have the capacity to judge and condemn our neighbor.
We are all guilty of lies, theft, quarrels, violence … And we must learn to come back to the Lord.
We must learn to humble ourselves before the Lord in order to implore his mercy.
The adulterous woman knows that she has sinned, she is in a situation of weakness, of sin, she is in despair, she can die.
His attitude of humility before Jesus gives him forgiveness, salvation.
Jairus, the head of the synagogue is in a situation of distress, he had already heard of Jesus but he was imprisoned in dogmas.
But the ordeal which overwhelms her is stronger, her only daughter is very ill.
History tells us that Jairus is short of solutions, he needs answers to his questions.
The Bible tells us that Jairus put aside his rank, his reputation, his influence … apart, he got rid of his authority to throw himself at Jesus’ feet.
He did not keep to the crowd, nor has his clothes, he begged the Lord to come into his house and come and heal his daughter.
Humility precedes glory.
Humility opens doors, humility is an act of faith.
Someone has said to the Lord, speak and my servant will be healed.
It is not you who are God, it is not your word which is powerful, it creates what does not exist.
No need to move.
Myself, I am a boss, I give the orders, we execute.
I speak, we run.
But you, all power is in your hands.
This man did not rise to his wealth and his strength, he knew that at this level, it was necessary to move up a gear and he put himself in a position of humility.
Humility, an attitude of the heart.
The Syro Phoenician woman wants Jesus to heal her daughter, but Jesus is dry, he refuses but the latter does not let go and humbles herself before the Lord who puts her on a lower scale but she needs help, she knows that she is in the right place and because of the humility in her words, the Lord restored her child.
What do we want the Lord to do?
Humility is the key.
Hebrews, 7: 7 – But it is without a doubt the lower one who is blessed by the upper one.
Fast and pray to be humble before the Lord.
It is the superior who blesses the inferior, it is the highest dignity that blesses.
Abraham is inferior to Melchizedek who remains eternally, it is to him that the patriarch paid his tithe.
It is the one above who pours oil on the head of the one below.
So let us be humble in our words and in our actions.
There is power in humility.
Hello everyone
