Can a man deceive God? For you are deceiving me, and you say: in what have we deceived you?
Yes, we think we are better.
We are convinced that by reading us, many will not feel concerned, many will say that they have clean hands and that they walk as the Lord wants.
But are we asking good questions?
Do we give way to God?
Is he our first?
How many people took the time to pray, to seek the face of God yesterday?
How many of us celebrated with new clothes, gifts, food, but few were not in the presence of God this morning.
The proof, we were not able to go to worship, we were tired and if an effort was made, we were late.
One last Sunday of the year.
Until when will we hang out?
Until when are we going to continue in this laxity?
The Lord has promised us 2022 but we don’t seem to understand that we have to cross with dignity, we don’t understand that we have to stay in an atmosphere of praise and worship.
Beloved, we do not serve God for a Pastor, nor to be rich, it is the salvation that we have all been looking for, stop behaving as if we are doing God a favor.
Nothing is moving forward for us because we are not following in the footsteps of the Lord, we are not obedient, our hearts are elsewhere.
Where is the place of God in our life?
We will always be unable, never courageous to give God what is His if we are not true worshipers.
We are false, selfish, we walk with masks showing what we are not to please.
And we say that we love and serve Jesus!
What belongs to God?
We mix everything up, God has become our comrade.
The Bible says that the first fruits are for God, a point, a line.
Happy or not, we have to place it on the Lord’s altar.
What did we do with our first salary?
From our first car?
From our first house?
From our first trip?
From our first child?
From our first business? ….
Everything that is first in our life is for God, it is not negotiable.
God set the Levites aside; it was for him.
He took the first born for himself.
And it is for this reason that Abel was approved, he understood a fundamental principle.
He gave his firstfruits, not only the firstfruits but his best without spot, without smell, without blemish and he said: * Lord, I give you. There is nothing more important than you in my life *
Cain was jealous, he did not understand why the Lord had chosen Abel when he had done his best.
It is not the fault of God, the Lord tells us that his people perish for lack of knowledge.
Malachi, 3:10 – Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house; Test me in this way, saith the LORD of hosts. And you will see if I do not open the windows of heaven for you, If I do not pour blessing abundantly on you.
Give to the Lord what belongs to him.
Tithing is one-tenth of our income and it is to God that we are to bring it.
It is a spiritual law, we must give to God what is his.
May the house of the Lord never be in want and the Father will be reassured to keep our taps open.
Yaweh allows us to challenge him with our works.
This verse is a promise attached to a blessing.
Pay our royalties or else we’ll always be sealed because we steal from God, we don’t feed our leaders.
Let us not be surprised to receive nothing when we neglect our Father’s altar.
So let’s serve God with our offerings, serve him with our firstfruits, serve him with our everything and ensure our future.
