Are we Christians who bear fruit?
Jesus asks that the lives of those who follow him bear fruit.
Matthew, 7:20 – Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Fast and pray for your fruits to be honorable.
How to recognize them?
To the results of their actions, to the fruits they bear.
* The fruits * = product, harvest, descendant.
The text tells us about the quantity of fruits but about the quality, the nature of the fruits, their taste.
Jesus warns us against those who instruct us, who teach us, who preach to us, against all those who appear like lambs yet they are wolves.
He denounces the disguised hypocrisy of those who pretend.
Let’s do a review.
If our works are good, we are credible, we must follow us, but if our works are bad, we must turn away.
Our churches must teach the truth of Jesus crucified, they must bear fruit worthy of our Lord.
Father, we want to thank you for what sets us apart.
Thank you for your mighty hand which turns our stories into testimonies.
