It’s not easy to succeed Abraham, you have to earn it.
Here is Lot, the nephew of the other, who grew up with his uncle but who did not know how to copy from his uncle, he did not know how to learn from him, he did not understand that his grace depended on that of Abraham.
One day, during a quarrel between their servants, they were forced to part ways.
What surprises us is that Lot has no respect for his uncle, he does not know how to honor the one to whom he owes everything.
When the time comes to choose, Lot does not give priority to the father, he thinks he has taken beauty, greenery, wealth and that is why he finds himself in a corrupt and perverse society.
Lot was an orphan, he had lost his parents very early and his father’s brother adopted him.
Maybe he had frustrations,
maybe he was rejected, maybe he was unloved but the truth is that Lot’s company was a bad source, he was competitive with his uncle, he was looking for power, Lot wanted to become.
Becoming is a process, it happens gradually, it is level by level.
Lot was aware that his uncle Abraham had no children and he was his uncle’s adopted son.
The thing that surprises us is that the promise to be the Father of the nations hangs over Abraham’s head.
And one day the blessing is going to knock on Abraham’s door, the son of promise is going to come in and Issac is there.
Isaac was the biological son of the couple Abraham and Sara and as a legitimate child he has his rights and the inheritance is his.
Genesis, 13:12 – Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan; and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent as far as Sodom.
Pray to become a true heir of Abraham.
We are indeed talking about two different destinies, they are of the same family but the oil runs on the head of Abraham.
Canaan was the land flowing with milk and honey.
But Lot, what are you doing in the disorder, in the anarchy of Sodom.
Lot was not given the identity of his uncle, so he cannot be his heir.
Abraham is an honest servant of God, he is the one who knows how to honor God.
He cannot find himself in the baseness of his nephew.
Yes, Lot cannot inherit from Abraham, it takes a son out of his womb to take that glory.
So, if we want to be counted in Abraham’s inheritance, let’s go back to his devotion to his Father.
hello to us
Have a good day
