My Month Of Testimonies! Ps75:9

We want to talk about healing again this morning.
We want everyone to know that they can count on Jesus.
We don’t want anyone to think that it’s all over for her,
We want everyone to know that it is still possible.
In Luke 17, the Bible tells us the story of the ten lepers.
Jesus was passing through Samaria and Galilee on his way to Jerusalem.
As he entered a village, ten lepers came out to meet him, standing at a distance, they raised their voices and cried out for mercy to the Lord.
The distance between the lepers signifies the separation between sin and salvation,
the impure and the pure,
the blessed and the forgotten.
Those in need cry out so that they can be heard.
It’s a cry of distress,
It is a cry for mercy.
The story tells us that when Jesus saw them, he did not release a word of healing or a blessing.
He just gave them an instruction,
just an instruction to go and show themselves to the priest.
Jesus gave the responsibility to the church, to the shepherd to declare, not that he could not do it, but the law provided that it was the servant who had the authorisation to examine and establish a cure.
A shepherd was responsible for preserving the integrity of the people.
Any skin disease was suspicious and highly contagious, and it was the word of a man of God who was empowered to bring the leper into the realm of purity.
The point here is that Jesus gave them advice and they obeyed,
they trusted Jesus’ word even before they were healed.
These lepers took a leap of faith, and were cleansed along the way.
One of them, a Samaritan, seeing that he had been healed, returned to Jesus with thanksgiving, with hymns, with joy.
The others were satisfied with the healing, but did not give testimony.
And it is the act of the stranger that lets us know that he has understood that Jesus is the only master.
This story highlights faith and salvation.
Salvation does not only lie in healing.
Jesus offers salvation to this Samaritan and releases mercy.
Jesus’ love has no limits, it can act if we give it the chance, it can lead us to rebirth and maintain our trust in him.
We can also become a testimony,
the Lord can lift us from our precarious state to glory,
he can disconnect us from our frustrations and grant us stability.
Luke, 21:13 – This will happen to you so that you may serve as a testimony.
Pray to become a living testimony!
Our marriage will happen so that we may bear witness,
Our childbirth will happen so that we can give thanks to the Father,
Our work will come so that we may bow down.
Our glory will come that we may know that there is a difference between those who serve Jesus and those who do not.
So let Jesus remember us,
Let Yaweh make his entrance,
Let the Lord take us to the high places.
And surely, we’ll be next on the list of testimonies.
