Entering a new season is so ordinary for us.
It’s so normal that we find no reason to celebrate,
It is so obvious in our thoughts that we feel no emotion, so natural is it.
In our pride and complacency, we see no mystery in it, no miracle.
In our eyes, it’s so banal.
This attitude is typical of mankind,
We are still full, we like to believe that we are the centre of the world, that what we have is enough, and so we trample on the grace without which we can do nothing.
Today is a victory,
It’s a day of honour and celebration,
It is a day when the gates have raised their lintels for the King’s sons to make their entry.
So it’s a privilege for us to enter this way,
It is with such love that we have been chosen among the chosen of the season.
So let’s make sure we honour and value this gift.
Can we stop to celebrate the name of the Lord?
Can we cry out in praise of the Lord who is our source and giver of life?
Can we just be grateful for what the Lord has done to make us overcomers?
Father, we bow down at your feet this day,
we humble ourselves at your feet to say to you, holiness.
To you, majesty.
To you we raise a song.
Yes, you are the King of kings.
Take all the space, Yaweh.
Yesterday, Lord, you turned our laments into cries of joy,
You lifted us from our limitations to restore us,
You levelled every mountain that shaded us, because you wanted this month to be a month of blessings,
You planned for the rains of favour to fall on each one of us,
You planned for the sky to be open over our heads and for us to enjoy rest.
We give you all our gratitude.
David was a man of war,
he was a soldier,
a warrior,
he was a man after your own heart,
He knew how to humble himself at your feet, he knew how to praise you, but the blood on his hands disqualified him, robbed him of the honour of building the house of the Lord.
This morning we want to say that David also paid the price for the firmness of his throne.
During his reign,
but when Solomon, his son, took over the reigns, his throne was stable.
No tribulations,
no persecutions,
no shaking,
Just peace,
Just joy,
Just rest.
And that’s what the Father wants to give us this season,
He wants to give us stability.
Welcome to our month of Stability.
Psalms, 62:3 – Yes, he is my rock and my salvation; my high tower, I shall not be moved.
It is on the Lord that we are rooted,
He is our assurance,
He is our dwelling place.
In him we are secure,
In him our hope is certain.
With him there is no failure,
With him, defeat is not possible,
With him, failure is not our lot.
So we must remain attached to the Lord,
We must trust him and abide in him.
Psalms, 103:19 – The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, And his kingdom rules over all things.
Pray that the Lord will always reign over you and your businesses.
The house of the Lord is above all things,
His power and authority rule over all.
Everything on earth lives according to the law and precepts of the Lord.
It is the Lord who sustains our breath of life; there is no one like him; it is his kingdom that prevails.
Let us remain attached to the Lord,
Let us respect his word, which heals and delivers.
Thank you Father for what you are.
May glory return to you.
Happy month!
