My Month Of Stability! Ps62:2

All we want to say this morning is to be careful about the choices we make.
The choices we make to please,
the decisions we make to satisfy our pride,
the paths we take to be like…
Let’s be careful.
We cannot serve God and do as we please. We cannot follow God and pretend.
Saul did not know that he was to be the first king of Israel,
We men were tired of continuing to follow the orders of a God we could not see.
In our unbelief and arrogance, we demanded a king.
And that’s how Saul came to the throne.
But he didn’t know how to walk according to the Lord’s precepts.
He wanted to do as he pleased.
The rod of command in his hands made him think he was above God.
And one day, when he had been instructed to wait for Samuel the priest, the very one who was to make the sacrifice before the Lord, King Saul rushed to his side.
King Saul rushed in because of his impatience and broke the divine rules.
This is how Saul lost his kingship.
Beloved, let us not think that what we do without the Lord’s approval is necessarily the right thing to do.
David himself did the counting, even though he was not qualified to do so.
Being king didn’t mean having all the rights, the Lord wasn’t pleased and punishment followed.
We just want to tell ourselves that the direction we take must be in God’s will.
Let’s not do anything that takes us out of God’s grace.
Let us not run to vain things and forget the mind of our Father.
Psalms, 119:5 – May my deeds be right, that I may keep thy statutes!
Fast and pray that your actions will always be well regulated.
If we do things that do not glorify the Lord,
we will be a stumbling block to many.
If we do something that destabilises a soul and something happens to it, Yaweh will claim its blood from us because we failed to watch over it,
we didn’t know how to be at our post,
we didn’t know how to discern.
We have strayed from the path that the Lord had laid out for us.
So let’s be mature children and not let God’s presence leave us.
