My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

We live in a society where we are led to believe that everything has changed,
We are led to believe that anything goes,
Today’s children no longer have any respect for their parents or for the elderly,
they think they know everything,
The wisdom of the elderly is foolishness to them.
Children are increasingly insolent,
immodest,
obscene,
indecent in speech, behaviour and dress.
We go to a bank and the parents are there, we don’t put them first, we leave them standing and we sit.
Children think only of themselves,
their interests come first,
they are rebellious and disobedient,
They want to take their parents’ place.
The parents in turn have lost control and no longer know how to discipline their children.
We are witnessing some deplorable scenes,
children hitting their parents,
they insult them,
they devalue them.
Sometimes, parents even make enormous sacrifices so that their children can develop and succeed, but once their offspring have achieved glory, they no longer support their parents,
they no longer support their parents,
they reject them and forget their efforts.
The Lord asks us to honour our parents,
to respect them,
to esteem them highly, to think highly of them,
to show them love and courtesy.
Pray that you will never miss the opportunity to honour your parents.
Ephesians, 6:2 – Honour your father and your mother (this is the first commandment with a promise),
Ephesians, 6:3 – so that you may be happy and live long on earth.
When we treat our parents with love,
we also benefit.
The Lord has attached a promise to the way we look after our ancestors.
If we respect the spiritual conditions of this commitment,
heaven promises us happiness, well-being, peace, rest, stability and, above all, better days.
So if we want to reach the age of our parents and hope to see several generations after us,
the only advice the Lord gives us is to look after our parents and take care of them when they are in need.
