My Month Of Promotion! 1Sam2:8

We woke up to rain this morning and it’s lulling us to sleep,
each of us taking advantage of our Saturday to rest and laze around.
That’s what makes us happy, but we also want to tell ourselves that it’s an excuse not to do our job,
it’s an excuse not to honour our commitments.
For many of us, we don’t have time in the week and so we’ve decided to the point of making a covenant with God, that we’ll go and clean his house and also that we’ll go and evangelise.
So we have to keep our word.
Evangelism is not paradise for many, so at the slightest reason, we flee.
In any case, we only want to encourage ourselves to continue proclaiming the good news of Jesus, we want to participate in the proclamation of the Gospel.
When it comes to the word of God,
we are cold,
we lose all our composure,
we feel ashamed,
we imagine how people will look at us,
we always want to justify ourselves,
we find this initiative demeaning,
suffering,
a waste of time…
We have let people dilute us and devalue our Jesus because we lack confidence and self-assurance when we stand up to defend the cause of our Lord and Saviour.
We are neither a testimony nor a help…
The needy need to be followed and we are not available,
The unfortunate need generosity but we are unwilling to share the Jesus we have,
The needy need rest and we do not give them access to the one who removes burdens and burdens.
We are the disciples of the Lord and we must be at our post.
Evangelisation is not a mission for a certain category of people,
it’s a job for everyone.
The Lord has given each of us the ability to do his work with zeal.
So it depends on us whether we refuse to go and proclaim the good news of Jesus,
or if we are too intimidated by what non-believers want us to believe.
We have to grow up,
we must go forward,
we must hope to hear the gospel echoing in all four corners.
And that is what the Lord is commending to us this morning.
1 Corinthians, 1:18 – For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Pray for growth in evangelism.
Fools are too smug to confess Christ,
they think their lives are their own and they can do as they please.
But for us believers, for us who serve Jesus, we know that our glory is in Jesus,
we are grateful that our strength is hidden in him.
So let us assert our identity and go and proclaim that Jesus is alive.
Lord, we submit ourselves to you.
Receive all praise.
Good morning to you all
Good day to you
