My Month Of Knowledge! Ho4:6

You are wonderful, Lord.
We may seek the comforts of the world, but you remain our only source of inspiration.
We have believed that without you we are complete because of what the world offers us, but that is an anarchism of darkness.
We thought that doing like them,
think like them, speak like them qualified us for greatness and respect,
but we were wrong again.
It’s a shame for us who say we’re on the Lord’s side, but we don’t realise what a privilege it is to be called children of light.
It’s sad for us who proclaim the word with our lips but our hearts are so empty of its character.
We struggle every day to look like and fit into the society we are in.
We have an idea that consoles us,
we’ve called it integration, and we’ve forgotten ourselves in this vicious circle that robs us of our true identity.
When it’s autumn, we have to put on all the coats that correspond to the season to avoid illness. It’s normal, but how can we explain that we’ve become so light, so superficial, so vulgar?
There are things we must not do as Christians, we must not find ourselves in certain circles,
we must not dress any old way because we are the temple of the Holy Spirit,
we must not allow things that separate us from the glory of God.
Lot’s daughters were children of God, they knew God, they served God but they allowed the mentality of Sodom and Gomorrah to infiltrate them.
They were in an unclean, unhealthy environment and the laws of that nation dominated their thinking.
Instead of spreading the word of God in the land they were in, they were influenced.
And that’s what happens to us, we serve God in our countries, we pray,
we fast,
we confess the word of God,
we attend prayer vigils,
we seek God’s presence and will every day, but when we arrive in a foreign land, where the rule is not spiritual,
where pronouncing God’s name is an offence,
where we are led to believe that we can live without God,
we forget our Jesus and end up accepting that God is a level of faith…
We become cold, insensitive, too self-conscious, we find it foolish to bow down in the presence of the Lord or to ask God’s will…
Beloved, let us not become like the world,
Let us not take their form, we are different.
We do not belong to this world,
Let’s stop this habit we have of worrying about the concerns of this world.
As long as our joys and sorrows are controlled by the world,
we will not grow, we will lack revelation no matter who we are.
Romans, 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
No longer blindly copy the world and existing systems.
Let us not allow ourselves to be moulded,
Let us be constantly on the alert,
Let us not be like the model proposed by the world, let us not behave in such a way as to agree, in such a way as to be accepted by the world,
let us not accommodate,
do not bend,
do not follow…
Rather, let us be cautious, vigilant…
Let’s metamorphose, let’s change into another form,
Let us be transfigured…
*To “renew” means to make new again. It certainly means that it was the original pattern that was in us at the foundation of the world, but which has been damaged, corrupted by sin.
We just need to go back to the original model, which is Christ.
Jesus is the perfect model of love, integrity,
holiness,
purity,
excellence,
power,
strength,
wisdom, abundance,
peace,
dominion and sovereignty.
It is Jesus we must imitate,
He is the one we must copy,
We must simply strive to resemble his nature, his model.
