My Month Of Delivrance! Rom10:13

Lord, what must we do to be saved?
What must we do to be delivered from lust?
What must we do to live up to God’s holiness?
What must we do to have what we lack? What is essential?
The Lord’s advice to us this morning is simple: let’s be more generous, let’s get rid of the superfluous, everything that burdens us.
Let’s attach our hearts to God.
The story of the rich man told in the Gospels makes us realise that we can have beautiful qualities,
but when the Lord draws the veil over our nakedness, reveals to us the state of our hearts,
what governs us, we soon realise that we can have irreproachable conduct but we prefer an idol to what is good.
Many people live their lives respecting biblical laws, but we need to know that living the life of Christ is different.
Law-keeping makes us feel better than others, but it is only an outward religious life.
The apostle Paul talks to us about dying to ourselves, otherwise we will always find it hard to see the fruits of the spirit coming out of our lives.
God is speaking to us this morning about the pious life, which calls us to renunciation, to the work of the cross of Christ.
2 Peter, 2:9 – The Lord knows how to deliver the godly from trial, and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgement,
Pray to live a godly life at all times.
We cannot say that we serve God without being tested and tempted,
our faith must be constantly tested, but the Lord himself delivers those who trust in him.
Daniel risked his life for the Lord,
He knew that the furnace or the lions’ den could not be a trial from which God could not deliver him.
For him and his companions, their lives were worthless if they bowed down to divinities, so they called on the God who delivers and he intervened.
God is faithful and always ready to lend a hand to those who obey and submit to him.
Let us walk in the footsteps of the Lord and he will go before us on our way.
