My Month Of Laughter! Es8:16

In Luke 17, a story is told that challenges us all.
We are all focused on our festive moments,
we want to savour these moments of quality, we just want to be with our loved ones and show our love for them,
we just want to enjoy life a little.
But how many people know that this is a grace?
How many know that this is a privilege offered by heaven?
How many are aware of God’s love and protection? How many realise the greatness of our God?
It has become a given,
It’s very normal. Every year we start again with the same objectives, but nothing gets done.
No recognition,
no real attention,
no real depth…
And it’s a shame to be so superficial every time.
And this is what the parable of the ten lepers in Luke 17 tells us,
ten people sick with leprosy ask Jesus for healing.
They break the rules and are courageous.
They thirst for restoration,
they thirst to cross over to the other side,
they thirst for witness,
they thirst to see next year,
they thirst for life…
Jesus doesn’t pray for them,
he doesn’t touch them, but he gives them a word, he gives them a recommendation.
Go and show yourselves to the priest.
On the path of obedience, the ten lepers are healed.
But only one returns to Jesus with thanksgiving,
it’s just one who has a heart of gratitude, it’s just one who appreciates the value of the help received.
He alone recognises and shows his joy.
He alone glorifies the name of the Lord and says thank you.
Jesus himself is impressed because those who are supposed to know the principles are negligent,
those who say they serve Jesus are distracted,
those who are in church don’t know their God.
It was the one who was not born again who came back to worship and Jesus not only healed his body but also his heart.
He was not only healed but also restored and saved.
What joy in heaven when a soul is saved!
The whole army of God falls into place to celebrate the glory and power of the name of Jesus.
Isaiah 61:10 – I will rejoice in the LORD, and my soul shall be glad in my God: for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, and covered me with the robe of salvation, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Rejoice because of your salvation.
Salvation is a garment.
Deliverance is a covering.
When the Lord visits us and rolls away our reproach
we bear a fragrance of favour, a new fragrance,
we are decorated with honour,
we are in the headlines and the focus of attention.
Let us be among those whose hearts truly beat for the things of the Lord.
