My Month Of Humility! Matt18:4

Flood our lives, Jesus
Flood our hearts, Yaweh
Floods our words, Eternal One
Floods our actions, Yaya
Floods our homes, El Elyon
Flood our destinies, Adonai…
This is a new week, and we want to entrust it to you.
We want you to sprinkle us with fresh oil,
We want to remain attached to you,
We want to remain at your feet.
Too many things separate us from you, Father.
Too many distractions around us keep us from being grateful people.
Our lust for possessions leads us to make bad choices.
Even when, Lord, you have blessed us, we have not always been honest, loyal and humble because we thought we could get out of your way and do without you.
We made a mistake, we fell.
Eternal One, you visited our homes but we despised those around us.
You have restored us and delivered us, but we have not missed an opportunity to complain; we have forgotten that the hand has found us and done us good.
You provided bread and food in our desert, but we refused to follow your instructions and submit to them, always wanting to do our own will without taking into account your love and protection.
And this is what happened with Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:
At the same time Berodach Baladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent a letter and a present to Hezekiah, for he had heard of Hezekiahs illness. Hezekiah gave audience to the envoys, and showed them the place where his prized possessions were, the silver and the gold, the spices and the precious oil, his armoury, and all that was in his treasuries; there was nothing that Hezekiah didnt show them in his house and in all his possessions.
Then came Isaiah the prophet to king Hezekiah, and said to him, What have these men said, and whence have they come to you? Hezekiah said, “They have come from a far country, from Babylon.
Isaiah said, “What did they see in your house? Hezekiah said, “They have seen everything in my house; there is nothing in my treasures that I haven`t shown them.
Here was a king who had been very ill but had been miraculously healed, and when the foreigners heard the good news, they decided to visit him to encourage him.
Instead of taking this opportunity to give glory to the Lord before the Chaldeans, to testify to the miracles God had performed on his behalf, to reject idolatry,
he instead flaunted his pride to dazzle his visitors,
He showed everyone his lack of trust in the Lord and his distance from the presence of God.
Beloved, our assets must be an opportunity for us to cling firmly to the Lord.
Even when we are on high, we must totally surrender ourselves to the hand of the Lord.
James, 1:10 – But let the rich man glory in his humiliation, for he will pass away like the flower of the grass.
Pray that your riches do not destroy your humility.
Hezekiah’s sin brought shame and disgrace upon him,
his pride precipitated his downfall.
Lack of humility breaks our harmony with the spirit of God and exposes us to disgrace.
So let each of us sit down and let Jesus empty and fill us anew.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
