My Month Of Solidarity! Phil2:4

Let us not be indifferent to the plight of those in need.
Let us take care of them while we can.
Giving is an act of love, and the Lord wants each of us to realise that we must give what is necessary and not what is superfluous.
Many of us give what we don’t need,
what we don’t need, what’s worn out or worthless.
This is contempt, it is an expression of a lack of love.
In Mark 12, Jesus is sitting in the temple in Jerusalem and it was the time of offering, the time of giving.
It was festival time and the crowds were thick.
The rich attracted attention with their big envelopes and their crowds,
they wanted to be seen and admired.
Jesus is witness to this: nothing is hidden, nothing escapes him.
The rich give a lot with pride and there is an insignificant, self-effacing widow who goes unnoticed in the crowd and it is she who will be the heroine of the evening.
Everyone is in the temple but they don’t have the same attitude.
This widow has given almost nothing, just two small coins,
negligible in the eyes of men, but for the Lord, it was capital.
The widow gave everything she had, she had nothing left and now had to rely on the Lord to survive.
As the Bible says, this widow is a widow, so she is needy, she is poor, and what will she do to eat after the service?
This is an act of love.
To love is to give…
In fact, this widow didn’t wait to receive, she was a pauper and the church had to help her, but she decided to be a source of blessing for others too, and today we can’t talk about the Gospel without quoting her.
Beloved, we have come to say that giving changes the course of our history.
To give is to be generous and it gives us value, identity, energy…
Everyone has something to give.
Let’s share what we have and put God’s word into practice.
Isaiah, 58:10 – If you give your own food to the hungry, If you satisfy the needy soul, Your light will rise over the darkness, And your darkness will be like the noonday.
Pray to satisfy someone’s needs today.
If we are to succeed in influencing and dominating our environment, we must be altruistic and generous.
We must be sensitive and vulnerable to the problems of others.
We must always be ready to reach out and support those in need.
So beloved, let us look at all those who are in need of a garment, a shoe, a meal, and let us help them.
It is this kind of action that the Lord accepts.
And let us not allow the darkness to invade us. We are the light of the world and our lamps must shine through our behaviour.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
