Let us not be disappointed,
Let us not be discouraged…
We do not waste our time, the Lord sees the good works we do.
Man may forget the good and the sacrifice we have made, but God is faithful and he is pleased to reward those who are upright in his ways.
Ruth followed her mother-in-law, took care of her and her reputation and integrity spread throughout Israel to the point where Boaz, a rich man who was busy with his business, knew her story.
In Ruth2, Boaz said to her: I have heard of all you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and mother and the land of your birth to go to a people you did not know before.
May the Lord repay you for what you have done, and may your reward be complete from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!
If the Lord can announce a person without a future, without protocol, without heritage, let us know that it is possible that he will do it for us, especially if we follow in his footsteps.
We have come here this morning to be comforted, not to worry, not to fear anything,
Our God, who is love, gives value to our actions.
Matthew, 25:40 – And the king will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you have done these things to one of the least of these my brethren, you have done them to me.
Remember that the Lord appreciates all that you do.
We can understand from this passage that “one of the least of my brethren” refers to the indigenous people, the poor, the destitute, the needy, the welfare recipients…
Every time we clothed them when they were naked,
Every time we gave them food when they were hungry,
Every time we gave them something to drink.
Every time we have served a family member, an acquaintance, a person in the street, a neighbour…
Jesus tells us not to count on their gratitude but to put it on his account, to consider that it is with him that we are dealing and that we will certainly reap the rewards.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
