My Month Of Stability! Ps62:2

Invited to a church programme, we gave our lives to the Lord because the message was poignant and moving.
We had the impression that it was about us, we even thought that the person who invited us had told our story to the man of God in order to hold us back, yet it was the spirit of God.
Sometimes we show interest in the word because we have been captivated.
Sometimes curiosity leads us back to it, we want to see the outcome of our communion, we hope to have answers to our concerns and we are patient.
For some, what they ask the Lord for is given to them,
they are blessed and they leave because the objective has been achieved,
satisfaction is certain, but they are unable to manage their blessing and their Christian walk.
Others who are not fulfilled in their own time are impatient, discouraged and end up moving on to another ministry or giving up.
Many say that it’s difficult to be born again because there are so many prohibitions,
they can’t do what they want because of the way others look at them, they say that pastors get rich, they manipulate, they control…
All this is to say that the Christian walk has its realities and we have to stop thinking that serving Jesus means being free to make our own choices and decisions.
The Christian walk means silencing our desires for those of the Lord,
it means accepting to die,
it means diminishing so that Jesus may grow,
it means realising that everything is permitted to us, but not everything is useful,
it means understanding that we are in the world but not of the world.
This is why Jesus warned us that if anyone wants to follow him, they must renounce themselves and take up their cross.
The Christian walk is not chocolate,
It’s for children, and that’s why maturity and integrity are essential.
The Christian walk is every day,
it’s a commitment,
it’s a determination,
it’s putting your faith into action.
Everything is done to stop us, to discourage us, to extinguish us, but the Lord exhorts us to stand firm in the midst of trial,
to continue the effort that is deemed difficult, to continue in spite of opposition.
Many people want to work for the Lord.
They start and very quickly stop because they don’t have the zeal.
It is God who provides the motivation.
Without it, we will always find excuses to give up.
Perseverance is a decision we have to make in our lives,
it’s a choice to continue or to stop.
There is always a reward for perseverance.
Matthew, 10:22 – You will be hated by everyone for my name’s sake, but whoever perseveres to the end will be saved.
Pray to persevere in your christian walk.
This is a warning of the present moment attached to a promise of the future.
We know that following Christ has its constraints, such as being hated, despised and rejected.
But let us also know that he who stands firm, who does not lose heart, will be rewarded.
We who truly follow Jesus will be attacked because the Christian’s way of life is at odds with a society that rejects the values of the Gospel.
So welcome persecution.
We are warned, but we are also on the right path.
Hatred of the world is our guarantee of being authentic Christians.
So let’s persevere!
Good day to you all
