My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

We want to talk about a delicate topic today: *self-control.
Managing our emotions, how difficult it is sometimes to contain ourselves…
Many of us fall into this trap, and we can’t really keep our cool.
We want to express ourselves to show that nobody’s stepping on us,
We let our pride do the talking, sometimes even to please or attract attention.
The Bible tells us about Levis and Simeon.
Their sister Dinah went out for a walk, and in the course of her distraction, she was raped by a young man who fell in love with her.
The story goes that he came to meet Jacob the father, not only to ask forgiveness for having dishonored their daughter, but also to make up for his mistake by marrying her.
Jacob preferred to wait for the return of his sons, who had gone to the fields with his flock.
On their return, Dinah’s brothers heard the news and became irritated and angry that Shechem, the young man, had committed an infamy in Israel.
Eventually, Jacob’s children reassured Shechem and his father that they had forgiven, used trickery and imposed circumcision, which was respected.
One day, while they were suffering, Levi and Simeon fell on the city and killed all the males.
They killed Shechem and his father, kidnapped Dinah from Shechem’s house and plundered the city.
Jacob was distressed by his sons’ attitude of superiority.
Anger is a spirit.
Self-control is a path to success.
Not knowing how to control oneself makes us vulnerable to many aggressions.
We live in an environment that is not reassuring,
everyone is worried, no one dares to undertake,
no one dares to embark on a project for fear of failing, so they do nothing.
Worry is always a lack of control.
It robs us of our desire to do, it robs us of our joy,
it paralyzes us.
Many situations push us to rebel against God, but let’s learn to trust in the Lord, to trust him to solve our difficulties.
How many of us get angry at the police in the street?
Against our spouses, and sometimes we even suffer violence until we find ourselves condemned to prison.
Lack of self-control leads to depression.
But without the spirit of God,
it would be difficult, if not impossible, to know how to control ourselves.
Proverbs, 20:3 – It is a man`s glory to refrain from strife, But every fool indulges in his own behavior.
Pray for self control.
Let’s not give in to provocation,
they eat up our energy and make us as foolish as our fellow man.
Self-control attracts positive vibes and teaches us to control our territory.
Whereas when we’re quick to explode,
we’re predictable and easily manipulated.
Let’s be sons of quick discernment.
Good day to us
Good day to you
