Beloved, we’re the ones who think that miracles can’t happen in our lives in a matter of minutes,
We’re the ones with the worried looks,
We’re the ones who define our lives by what our eyes see.
We like to let our emotions speak for themselves,
we want others to feel compassion for us when we’re going through a difficult time,
At the slightest tribulation, we turn in on ourselves,
we freeze up,
we complain.
We can’t imagine all the things the Lord orchestrates to bring us into our destiny,
we’re far from thinking that our trials are sometimes God’s plan.
So we want to talk about Joseph again this morning,
He was a special character who knew how to walk according to the Lord’s expectations, and the testimony was given to him.
Joseph, eleven son of Jacob, was sold by his brothers because he was loved by their father and because this seventeen-year-old boy had a clear vision of his future.
Once sold, he ended up in Egypt as a slave, and later as a servant in the house of Potiphar,
all went well until Potiphar’s wife took an interest in him and wanted him as a lover.
Joseph refuses and runs away, but the boss’s wife accuses him of being a violent, perverted man who has tried to abuse her.
Once again, Joseph finds himself in trouble and is thrown into prison.
The story goes that he finds favor in the eyes of the jailer, who makes him chief of the prisoners.
So Joseph never stops praying to his God,
he never ceases to showcase his talent and gift to others.
This is how he interprets the dreams of his neighbors, which come true.
One day, Pharaoh also had dreams that tormented him, and he wanted to know how to interpret them.
So he called on the city’s magicians and charlatans, but no one was qualified for the task.
And just like that, Joseph enters the scene and reveals the Lord’s deep, prophetic thinking.
Pharaoh is convinced he has the answers to his questions and doesn’t hesitate to take on a foreigner,
a prisoner,
a slave and put him in charge of the whole country, because he knows that Joseph serves a living God,
he also knows that Joseph is brimming with ability,
skill,
wisdom,
integrity and loyalty to lead the Egyptians into glory.
So Pharaoh gives him full powers and destines him for royalty.
Beloved, let us stop thinking that our efforts are wasted,
Let us not believe that our sacrifices are buried,
Let us not be convinced that the love we have for others is trampled underfoot.
Fast and pray for your work to be rewarded.
Genesis, 41:40 – I will set you over my house, and all my people will obey your commands. The throne alone will lift me above you.
When the hand of the Lord is upon us
everything is entrusted to us.
Pharaoh didn’t need to live with Joseph to know that he was one of God’s chosen ones,
He didn’t need to go through the trial to entrust him with great responsibilities.
He understood that Joseph carried grace and that the authority in him was divine.
He therefore ceded leadership and power to him because God’s spirit was on his life.
Let’s just know that when we do our job well,
when the service God has entrusted to us is done with fear and trembling, we can only receive marks of distinction.
Wherever we are, we will shine.
So let’s leave no stone unturned and apply ourselves.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
