My Month Of Mercy! Lc1:50

This is our day of celebration, our day of worship.
Let’s not stay at home and watch the service live,
Let’s make fellowship a priority.
It’s together that we can stand firm and strengthen each other.
Again this morning, we want to bless the name of the Lord for salvation.
We were all slaves,
We were in bondage,
We were paralysed by mediocrity,
Prisoners of the curse,
Dominated by the high places, but one day God took pity on us, looked at the dirty earth and said to himself that if he doesn’t do something, we’ll all be corpses.
Thinking about it, the only thing he could do was to take strong action to redeem our souls.
God delivered us out of love,
He blessed us by covenant.
It was out of faithfulness that he brought us out of the pit.
The same word tells us that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, so the Lord decided to take his only one, the one he loved, to sacrifice him so that we might be saved.
This was not a right,
it wasn’t a given,
it was just God’s mercy.
Let us not take our salvation lightly,
Let us value this powerful action that the Lord has offered us and bless his name.
Titus, 3:5 – he saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, through the baptism of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Bless the Lord for the salvation (proof of his mercy) that you have received.
It is not because of our good deeds that the Lord has saved us, it is the grace of God.
We were rebellious, disobedient,
misguided,
living in wickedness, but the goodness and love of our Saviour redeemed us.
This verse makes us understand that no one can be saved by sacrifices, by keeping the commandments,
going to church,
being baptised,
or any other good work,
because we will never be good enough to satisfy God’s holiness.
It is God’s grace that gives us what we deserve.
Let us thank the Lord for salvation,
Let us give thanks for the price we have paid and let the Lord lead us along the path of his justice.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
