My Month Of Mercy! Lc1:50

Mercy is love put into practice; it means wanting to respond to the immediate needs of others and alleviate their suffering, loneliness and sadness; it means seeking to resolve physical, emotional, financial and spiritual crises with a spirit of generosity and sacrifice.
It means acting in defence of the humble, the poor, the forgotten and the oppressed.
Mercy is not a feeling, it is an act.
In Matthew 20, from verse 29 onwards, the Bible tells us when they came out of Jericho, a great crowd followed Jesus.
And behold, two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!
The crowd rebuked them to keep them quiet, but they cried out louder, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!
Jesus stood still and called to them, saying, “What do you want me to do to you?
They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.
Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediately they received their sight and followed him.
These blind men depended on Christ’s compassion to give them back their sight. We also need him to show us his goodness and grant us his salvation.
Matthew, 5:7 – Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Pray that you may be able to practice mercy.
If we wish to receive mercy, we ourselves must be merciful.
The people around us must see the Lord in us.
May our actions and words reflect his mercy.
Father, we ask you to help us to practise kindness.
We want to be like you, the Father.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
