My Month Of Solidarity! Phil2:4

Some people make their mark on society through their initiatives.
Others make history by their courage,
Still others fight to amass crowns in heaven through their obedience to God’s word.
These are ordinary people who have chosen to use what God has placed in their hands,
they used the gift that the Lord had given them,
they put their abilities to work for others, and the Lord went with them.
In Acts, 9 There was a woman at Joppa among the disciples named Tabitha, which means Dorcas, who did many good works and gave alms.
At that time she fell ill and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
Now Lydda was near Joppa, and when the disciples heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, asking him to come to them without delay.
Peter got up and went with the men. When he arrived, they took him into the upper room. All the widows came to him, weeping, and showed him the coats and garments that Dorcas had made while she was with them.
Peter led everyone out, knelt down and prayed, then turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up! She opened her eyes and saw Peter and sat up.
This story is a real challenge for us, especially as children of God.
We can see a woman who did not complain but who knew how to make the most of what God had entrusted to her.
Let’s use our fingers, our houses, our talents, our money… to meet the needs of other people.
Dorcas, called Tabitha, went out of her way to improve life in her community,
she knew how to support and encourage others.
She was generous and always ready to share her goods with others.
She was not afraid to work with her hands to make clothes for the widows,
so that everyone could benefit.
The Bible tells us that one day she fell ill and died.
How sad to lose a charitable soul who was a source of blessing,
who was the hope of many.
The people of her community were devastated by this loss, everyone was in mourning to the point where they called on Pierre perhaps for the funeral, but God had foreseen the resurrection.
What we must remember is that these people were not mourning for nothing, the congregation was losing a woman of impact, a woman of distinction, a vessel of honour.
Dorcas marked her passing by doing God’s will and letting the Holy Spirit take control.
Giving has become a burden for us, yet it is a sign of love.
Giving brings back to life all that we have lost,
Giving opens the sky,
Giving has an impact on others,
Giving is doing God’s will.
Giving is telling God that we are counting on him.
Fast and pray to make a big impact in your community.
2 Corinthians, 9:7 – Let every man give as he has purposed in his heart, without sorrow or compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Paul encourages us, without forcing us, to send help to our brothers in need.
If we are true Christians, let us not give out of obligation or compulsion; no one wants to receive a gift from a troubled and bitter heart.
Let our giving be motivated by the Lord and let it bring us happiness.
Know that giving is not a sacrifice but rather a seed that will be returned to us at some point.
Let us sit down and reflect on our giving so that it is sprinkled with good smells.
God gives us freedom and promises to respect that commitment.
May joy rise in our hearts in every action we take, so that the Lord may approve it.
Good day to you all
