My Month of Commitment!Deut.23:23

When some hear * the fear of the Lord *, it seems old game, archaic …
For them, we talk about it to destabilize and weaken others.
How can we know if we have the fear of the Lord?
To take the word of the Lord seriously, to obey Him, to walk in His ways are the signs that we can fear God.
When we hear * fear *, we tend to think only of fear yet beside that, we have respect.
Fear drives us away and destroys us when respect calls for love, submission, closeness, fulfillment.
The fear of God is humility, the will of God, trust …
The Bible sends us into the book of 2 Kings, 17:35 – The LORD made a covenant with them, and commanded them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods; You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them, nor offer sacrifices to them.
Commit yourself in fearing only the living God.
To make an alliance is to make a commitment, it is to make a promise, it is an agreement, it is to give one’s word.
The Lord has affixed His signature with one condition.
For him, everyone had to respect his market share, everyone had to get involved to seal the deal.
Our God is called * Johovah El Kana * the jealous God, he does not share his glory with anyone, not even with a servant, he wants to have priority and first place.
It’s normal, he sacrificed himself for us, he paid the price for us, and it’s logical that we are loyal, it is correct that he punishes the infidels, those who spit on his sacrifice, the Lord defends his rights.
He has given and expects us to be obedient and grateful.
We men are not happy when we do not see our efforts, it grinds us and it breaks us yet we are little below God, imagine the Lord, imagine all the accusations, the convictions, the sufferings … that we inflicted on him.
If we are sad when we live this situation, why not God?
He is very clear with us, he gives us his rules, the Bible says that two people do not walk together without having agreed, Yaweh warns us, if we make commitments with him, he refuses all kinds of distractions, he refuse all that will take its place in our lives, it refuses all occupations that eventually become idols in our hearts.
He invites us to focus on him, to love him, to respect his recommendations.
Without the fear of the Lord, we are empty, ignorance will always steal our blessings.
Let’s keep our hearts above all else and do not let the infections of the world baffle us.
