My Month of Commitment!Deut.23:23
Hello people of God, we are talking about sanctification this morning.
Sanctification is an important subject that we always neglect perhaps because we do not understand, perhaps because we find it difficult to put into practice, perhaps because we do not measure the weight of its importance.
Sanctification is the will of God.
Without it, we will not see God.
Sanctification does not mean to be perfect, perfection is God.
To sanctify oneself is to separate oneself, it is to belong to God, to participate in the divine nature by fleeing the corruption and covetousness of the world, it is to approach holiness, it is to obey God in all his commandments.
We are made of flesh, sin keeps us captive and prevents us from being holy.
One thing is certain, we must choose, God can not grant us victory if sin hinders his work in us because even the smallest of fisheries hinders our blessings and the help of God in our lives.
We always think that our faults are insignificant and they can not stain on our spiritual health.
Let us know then that they are destructive and there is only the purification to get us out of there, there is that the action of God in us that supports us.
So for this morning, God invites us to commit yourself to more sanctification.
1 Thessalonians 4: 3 – What God wills is your sanctification; it is that you abstain from impurity;
This text tells us what God expects from us, he speaks to us about the perfect will of the Lord.
We must be aware that we are sinners and that these imperfections hinder our walk with Jehovah.
We must stop doing what God does not like, we must stop sending Jesus to the cross and for that we must be guided at every moment in our relationships, we must take a position of humility and listening we must align ourselves with the path of sanctification.
As a child of God, our behavior must be different from others because we want to conform to the word.
The Bible does not say to resist fornication but to flee.
It is a divine order.
We must avoid finding ourselves in situations that will push us to compromise.
When we feed our hearts with impure thoughts, when we live in covetousness, when we practice masturbation or when we look at everything that is pornographic, we indulge ourselves in immodesty and perversion.
To all this, God says No and give us a choice.
Let us pray this morning that the Lord is giving us this important decision to abandon sin and to watch over our hearts more than anything.
Sanctification is the very foundation of the Christian life.
Let’s be wise and stay under the cover of Jesus.
Hello again
Have a good day
