People of God hello,
The subject that interests us this morning is the fasting.
One thing we need to know is that it is not only in Christianity that we are young, that many religions do it and it is the word of God.
We must know that fasting is not a form of diet, or hunger cut as many think.
We do not do it to please, or to impress God or to force his hand and that is unfortunately what we do.
The fast is not carnal, it is spiritual, it is a consecration.
We do not really know what it is anymore.
Some have banished the young from their lives on the pretext that we are under grace, some do not give importance to it perhaps by contempt or ignorance, and others do it anyhow.
My brothers, there is a blessing to fast according to the will of God.
Jacob’s house was fasting, she was looking for God, she wanted to follow the ways of the Lord, but God was not satisfied because their youth was nothing special, nothing divine, it was just a religious program.
In our ministry, Thursday is planned as a day of Jeun.
This is a commitment we made before God.
Has this become a tradition?
Do we really practice it?
In any case, we are already taking it lightly, we have lost sight of the value of this agreement with the Lord and it is no coincidence that God speaks to us of Jeun on a Thursday, the day we are supposed to be in his presence in a particular way.
We are fasting to stay focused on the Lord, not to let our flesh decide for us.
In Ezra 8:23 – For this reason we fasted and called upon our God. And he answered us.
Fast and pray to be committed to fasting as much as possible.
Ezra invites us to fast, to humble ourselves and to pray, to depend on Jesus rather than on our beliefs.
The fasting is not just deprivation, it is spending time in the presence of the Lord praying and meditating while avoiding situations that will destroy our intimacy with God.
It is manifesting the fruits of the spirit, it is being helpful, humble.
In general, we release the rhythm the day after our youth to rest, it is a mistake because the enemy rode to destroy us and steal what we sowed.
We are therefore invited to persevere in the faith so that our youth is pleasing to God.
Hello again and have a nice day
