Lord, really we understand that you want to straighten us up and teach us good manners but we are so rebellious, so difficult, so proud, so susceptible …
Anything we can be told is an opportunity to get angry, to whisper, to distance ourselves.
We love flattering words, generous words, those that please our flesh, those that honor us but when they go against our expectations, we fall back on us.
Brethren, it is not all that we are told that hurts, let us learn to accept the reprimand.
It is the reproach that makes us grow, it is the remarks that allow us to reach the high places.
The bible says to watch over one another, to exhort us.
The correction is biblical, we believe that if a person is wrong and we blame him or if we exclude him from the group, we lack love, NO.
We are not going to close our eyes to sin at the risk of being condemned.
Nowadays the church has failed, it encourages lightness, laziness, neglect, it thinks that if it is demanding in behavior, the members will leave, it thinks that speaking openly about the problem of a brother will prevent him from coming back to worship in the assembly, let us tell ourselves that the Holy Spirit is the master and understand that the correction is to bring us to repentance.
When we Christians behave badly, the Lord suffers.
The patch reduces damage.
Let us accept discipline for our good, being a disciple requires discipline.
It is not easy to accept to be corrected, or even to recognize that we need it.
God’s correction is not a punishment but a way for him to make us grow and show us his love.
Lord, we need your correction, sometimes we change our way, we take the wrong direction but Father, correct us.
We must stop rebelling against Your commandments, Lord.
We must no longer respond with pride to your voice, we think that we can fend for ourselves without your help, it is madness.
Lord, do not forget us, shape us.
May your Holy Spirit come and teach us to stop complaining and whining.
When we are wrong, guide us to do your will.
You are a responsible father who loves his children and you chastise us when necessary
In Proverbs, 12: 1 – He who loves correction loves knowledge; He who hates reprimand is foolish.
Appreciate any correction that is coming your way.
The warnings are part of the education given by God to his children.
The reprimands, the corrections are the way of life.
Father, here we are before you this morning, teach us, educate us, we need your direction to go to the other side.
Hello church
Have a good day
