What do we do with what God has given us?
How do we exploit the well that we are?
Are we sources of blessing?
Are we faithful?
God has placed the gifts and talents in us so that we share them with others, we have received capacities and we will report to the master for the work accomplished.
Many of us think that we can do what we want when we want and we tend to forget that we are just stewards, stewards of the goods that the Lord has entrusted to us so we must know that everything belongs to it. ‘Lord, it is he who created everything.
What have we received from Christ that we are not putting to good use?
The speech?
The light?
Forgiveness?
If we are the light, we must illuminate everywhere, we must impact and influence our environment.
In Luke 16: 8 – The master praised the unfaithful steward for his prudent behavior. For the children of this century are more careful of their fellow human beings than are the children of light.
Pray for the ability to be enlightened and aware!
This verse is addressed to us, confronts us with our responsibility, invites us disciples to be faithful stewards.
The steward is a child of this century, he is not an example, he is unfaithful in his task, he is selfish and dishonest, he thinks only of himself and does not seek the interest of his master, everything what worries him is his comfort and his personal and earthly financial security.
Many of us are like that in our jobs, in our churches, in our activities, we don’t take anything seriously, we work lax and lightly and we just want rewards.
Let us not be one of those who squander the inheritance.
The children of this century are collecting the things of the earth. It is in this sense that the passage says that they are wiser and wiser than the children of light.
Let us give back to God what is his,
Let us bear fruit and be assured of eternal life.
The Lord does not approve of dishonesty but rather skill.
The children of this century are ready to do anything to achieve their goals.
This is what the Lord is looking at, their tenacity, their endurance and this is what the children of light lack.
When it comes to the gospel, we are afraid to defend our convictions, believers are less zealous, less fervent while infidels are ambitious and do everything to serve their interests.
Let us be violent and defend the light of the earth that we are.
