Only God can help us fulfill ourselves and serve others.
Service is something we hate, we prefer to see others at our feet but we ourselves hate authority.
We think that it is to diminish, to belittle or to become inferior if we are all the time available for others.
When it comes to the church, it is even taboo to work for the Lord, many of us think that it is laziness, that it is madness, it is a waste of time.
It is even unthinkable to come and clean the church of Jesus, many think that it is not their levels.
But we came to tell us this morning that service is one of the keys to fulfillment.
And that’s what Sunem’s distinguished wife understood.
She took up hospitality, she invited the prophet to share his table, she made an upper room to welcome the man of God, she opened her door to others.
This woman had a need and had no solution, she came down from her heights to receive this authority.
The pastor saw his sacrifice, he looked at his faithfulness, and he released his blessing.
How many times have we neglected our gifts and talents?
How many times have we been distracted and missed a job?
The Bible tells us the story of the parable of the talents.
The master entrusts the talents to the servants, he puts them to work, he wants to make them responsible, he wants to see how each one can develop what he has in his hands but the master does not condition anyone, does not give any direction, do not watch anybody.
On the contrary, the master trusts his servants, he shows his total disinterest but he wants results, he wants his followers to take initiatives and see their way of giving account.
It is the capacity for reactivity of each one that qualifies him as good and faithful.
It is our loyalty to work that gives us promotion and positions us.
1 Corinthians, 3: 8 – He who plants and he who waters are equal, and each will receive his own reward according to his own work.
Faithfully perform your work!
Let’s do our part, ask ourselves if we are working hard to accomplish ourselves.
The servants of God do not all have the same gifts, but we are all his servants.
We do not all do the same work, but we are all instruments in the hands of the Lord.
It is God who judges our work and will give us the reward that is right for us.
We are all invited to work under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, if we follow his instructions he will cover us with crowns.
Hello people of God
