What exactly are we afraid of?
Comment Jesus is with us in the boat and we are panicking?
Why panic when the sea roars and Jesus sleeps?
Is it normal that the Lord asks us to come to him and on the way, we are frightened to the point of drowning?
Fear is not of God, it robs us of our peace.
The Lord knows that the path is complicated for us, that is why the Bible is sprinkled with words of encouragement to dispel fear.
The Lord understood that Joshua had to panic to take control of the people of Israel.
The Lord knew that Joshua was thinking that he was not able to support such a large people.
The Lord knew that fear had seized Joshua when he learned that he was the one who should continue to bear the responsibilities of Moses.
It is normal for Joshua to be afraid, he had experienced the stress of his leader, he knew the difficulties of his master.
And that’s the reason why he only looked at his difficulties, he felt very small and without strength.
This is why the Lord had to hold his hand, this is why he had to be strengthened and leave frustrations and limitations behind.
Let’s stop looking worried, our help comes from the Eternal, our God is faithful.
Isaiah 54:14 – You will be established by righteousness; Banish, for you have nothing to fear, And fear, for it will not approach you.
Stop being afraid!
The justice of God makes us strong, we don’t have to complain, we have to trust in God and the devil will depart from us.
