My Month Of Perspicacity ! 2Tim2:7

We want to tell a story to illustrate our meditation for the day.
We want to talk about the moment when Israel had abandoned God, he had been defeated by the Philistines who had taken the ark of the covenant, symbol of the presence of God.
Following this defeat, the Israelites decided to return to God.
For this, they had to remove the idols from among them and serve God alone, had recommended the prophet Samuel.
Israel therefore repented before God and was reconciled to him.
When the Israelites returned to war, the Philistines were confident they would have victory, but the Lord fought for his people.
It is as a result of this that the prophet Samuel erects a stone of remembrance which is called Ebenezer which means so far, the Lord has helped me.
This relief stone was the memorial site of an Israeli victory.
We sometimes think that God has forgotten us, or that his intervention seems to be late, or even that it happened too late but he always responds to the favorable time.
Jairus’ daughter was already dead when he came and threw himself at Jesus’ feet.
His family, friends and neighbors were already in his house to mourn and grieve.
The Bible tells us that the arrival of Jesus changed the course of the situation.
Jairus’ daughter came back to life when everything was settled for men, when the carnal conclusions had been made.
Jesus, our refuge
Jesus, our high retreat,
Jesus, our help, breaks down every barricaded door in front of us.
Bless the Lord your helper!
Job, 26:2 – How well you know how to help the weak! How you help the weak arm!
The weak is the one who does not have the means, who is not strong, who is poor, he is needy and he is assisted.
God will never come into the life of someone who says he is in control, who knows what he is counting on, who is full of himself.
We have to show God that we depend on him, that we are useless without him, that’s the only way the Lord will help us.
When we’ve lost everything and he’s our last card we’ve pinned our hopes on.
Lord, thank you for being our helper.
