My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

We want to tell the story of Ruth to illustrate our instructions for the day.
The Bible tells us that there was a famine in the land. A man from Bethlehem in Judah went with his wife and two sons to stay in the land of Moab.
They lived there for ten years, after which the woman named Naomi lost her husband and then her two sons.
Later, Naomi decided to return to her country, but her daughters-in-law insisted on staying with her.
Finally, one of them, Orpa, resigned herself to returning to her country to make a new life for herself, but Ruth held firm.
She believes in the God of her mother-in-law and wants to remain attached to Naomi’s covenant.
Naomi is unhappy,
she has been left alone and empty-handed, but Ruth is determined to submit to her mother-in-law’s grace.
Once in Bethlehem, she had to make a living and Ruth decided to go and work to feed her mother-in-law, Naomi, and this is how she found herself gleaning in Boaz’s field.
This is how she is noticed by the rich man who has also heard Ruth’s good reports.
Ruth gained favour in the eyes of her master and was privileged.
One day, seeing how faithful her daughter-in-law was to her, Naomi decided to make sure she rested in peace so that she would be happy.
Boaz is a relative of Naomi’s and has the right of redemption over the house of his brother Elimelec, Naomi’s husband.
Naomi puts in place a strategy and gives Ruth advice so that she can be happy for good.
Boaz married Ruth and the Lord blessed Naomi, who was happy in her old age.
Today we are talking about seeking the glory of our neighbour with pleasure.
This is what Naomi did for Ruth.
Beloved, let us learn not to be self-centred,
Let us learn to see others happy,
Let us learn to share.
It is because we love our neighbour as ourselves that we can seek his glory.
It is because we have integrity that we can rejoice in the happiness of others.
Pray to seek the glory of your neighbor with pleasure.
Proverbs, 25:27 – It is not good to eat a lot of honey, but to seek the glory of others is an honour.
Honey is sweet and too much sugar makes us sick, whereas by giving and sharing what we have, we are happy to see others happy.
On glory goes the Lord who is the source of happiness.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
