Until Abraham heard the voice of the Lord, he led a quiet life far from the stresses and strains of life.
He lived in his father’s house,
he was an heir.
His whole life was there, he knew nothing but his geographical surroundings.
And one day, he’s faced with a situation where he has to disconnect from everything he knows,
everything that makes up his history,
He must leave behind his father’s house and his homeland.
Obliged to carry out the Eternal’s command, he must convince his family to undertake this adventure with him.
In the meantime, his wife Sara was unable to bear a child,
so they adopted Abraham’s nephew Lot as their adopted son.
Until then, they had lived together without any problems, but one day, quarrels arose between their shepherds.
Abraham and Lot were forced to separate.
As soon as the division was made, Abraham received from the Lord another confirmation of God’s promise to make of him a people as numerous as the sand of the sea.
Abraham was getting old and so was his wife, with no children, so his wife offered him her maid Hagar, who made her husband Ishmael.
Still no satisfaction in their marriage, but the Lord is the one who does not lie,
He always makes sure to do what He has declared.
One day, Abraham is visited by three men who reinstate God’s promise in their lives.
Sara doesn’t care; all she sees are the limitations of their old age.
The Bible tells us that God remembered Sarah, who became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Isaacs,
the son of promise,
the heir,
the one awaited,
the promised one, and everything changed in their lives.
Beloved, honor comes from God,
it is he who opens the floodgates of blessing,
it is he who opens the floodgates of heaven,
it is always he who makes the seed fertile.
Who is like him?
Bless is the Lord who honors you with remarkable seed.
Hebrews, 6:14 – Surely I will bless you and multiply your seed.
The Lord never changes his mind.
He makes us a promise because we have a covenant with him.
The Lord’s promise carries our destiny.
On Mount Moriah, God renews the covenant made with Abraham and, with a solemn oath, confirms the promise destined for his descendants throughout all generations.
What has God promised us, and we can’t wait for it to be fulfilled?
Impatience and unbelief have caused us to lose our inheritance.
So let’s let God work out his timing in our lives.
Good morning
Good day to you
