My Month Of Promotion! 1Sam2:8

Even today, we are grateful for the fact that we are alive,
You love us so much Father,
You protect us so much Dad,
You always give us a better tomorrow,
You comfort us when we are afraid,
You strengthen us when we are weak,
We want to give you all our gratitude for your faithfulness.
Again this morning, Yaweh, you make us understand that you alone are our motivation.
No matter how much we rely on our talents
we could pretend to be superior to others,
we spend half our time looking down on our neighbours because they don’t have what we have, because we underestimate them.
Our position pushes us to be full of ourselves, we are pretentious, we despise those around us,
We take them for our slaves.
Our status sometimes leads us to disrespect even our elders and we want to bless them.
Humility is a way of life; we must learn to let God remake us,
we must beg him to mould us,
We must sit at his feet so that he can teach us his ways.
Appearances take us out of the blessing,
We value others according to our interests and sometimes we don’t even greet our neighbours because they don’t belong to our social rank.
And we call ourselves children of God but we cannot contain ourselves to give glory to God.
The Lord reminds us of humility, without which we will not see his glory.
He exhorts us to put ourselves aside as quickly as possible and to know how to make room for others,
to know how to love them and to know how to serve them.
Let us not be those who impose themselves while suffocating and preventing others from breathing.
Power also hinders humility.
Herod liked John the Baptist, but only because he was part of a festive ceremony surrounded by celebrities,
he made a promise to do whatever a young girl who would wiggle well to please him wanted.
Unfortunately, the girl’s mother had a bone to pick with John the Baptist, and that’s how the head of a child of God ended up on a plate.
Herod thought he was a god and he did not fail to silence his inordinate pride for the sake of a moment’s pleasure.
Job, 5:11 – He lifts up the humble and delivers the afflicted;
Pray to be always humble.
God does not share his glory,
He who always wants to prove to himself and to others that he doesn’t need anyone will be humbled,
The Lord needs people who are grateful,
those who know how to be generous and compassionate.
He recommends that we take care of widows,
orphans
the needy and strangers.
Being humble also means being like the one who gives us life.
Let us not let our flesh hate our Lord at every turn,
Let us strive to be examples.
Good day to you
Good day to you
