My Month Of Gratitude! 1Thes5:18

Not knowing how to give thanks is just disappointing.
We take it for granted to be where we are,
We think we deserve this promotion because we’ve worked too hard,
We think we’re capable of accomplishing something because we’re wise and intelligent, yet it’s God’s grace.
Let’s not glorify ourselves,
it’s not necessary,
we have a source from which we draw,
we have a covenant that intervenes on our behalf, we have an altar that favours us.
God abhors ingratitude,
he hates our cold, unbelieving hearts,
He loathes this insensitivity.
Ten lepers in the Bible are rejected,
They are isolated because it is a contagious disease.
These lepers hear about Jesus,
they decide to go and meet him,
they got together to cry out to Jesus,
They joined forces to beg for mercy.
Jesus took an interest in them and suggested that they go and show themselves to the priest.
The law said that it was the priest who confirmed the healing; Jesus did not pray for them,
He didn’t lay hands on them, but gave them instructions.
The Bible says that the ten lepers obeyed on the way to the priest,
they saw themselves healed and they dispersed to celebrate their joy elsewhere with their family and friends.
Nine lepers saw that the miracle had taken place and they were no longer concerned about the one who was healing them.
One of them, seeing himself healed, went back to give thanks to the Lord.
He knew it was a miracle,
He had tried everything but there was no solution, and his encounter with Jesus changed his life.
The surprise was that the one who came to say thank you was a pagan, a Samaritan.
When the other nine who are supposed to be children of God don’t even know that gratitude is what seals the blessing.
The one who came to give thanks separated himself from the group,
he understood that he could not be indifferent,
he couldn’t behave like the others, so he chose to go back and celebrate with Jesus.
He threw himself at the feet of the Lord as a sign of gratitude, he recognised that without his power he would certainly still be repulsive, rejected.
Beloved, let us learn to detach ourselves from everything that is contrary to gratitude,
let’s leave behind the people who stick to us and drag us into bad habits.
Without gratitude, we cannot enjoy our breakthrough.
Ephesians, 5:4 – Let no one hear dishonest words, foolish talk, or jokes that are contrary to propriety; rather, let them hear thanksgiving.
Pray to be stripped of all that is contrary to gratitude.
We must stop complaining any old how,
When we talk too much, we say things that shatter our light.
Our negative words affect our lives and that is why the Lord advises us to use our tongues to bless and to appreciate the daily blessings.
So let’s stay in the spirit of gratitude.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
