My Month Of Mercy! Lc1:50

Nahash the Ammonite came and besieged Jabesh-gilead. All the inhabitants of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.
But Nahash the Ammonite said to them, “I will make a covenant with you on condition that I put out the right eye of all of you and bring reproach on all Israel.
The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us a truce of seven days, so that we may send messengers throughout all the land of Israel; and if there is no one to help us, we will come to you.
And the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, and spoke these words in the ears of the people. And all the people lifted up their voice and wept.
And, behold, Saul came in from the field behind his oxen, and said, What has the people to weep for? And they told him what the men of Jabesh had said.
When Saul heard these things, the Spirit of God came on him, and his anger was kindled.
And he took a pair of oxen, and cut them in pieces, and sent them by messengers throughout all the land of Israel, saying, Whosoever will not walk after Saul and Samuel, let his oxen be dealt with in like manner. The fear of the Lord overcame the people, and they marched as one man.
Saul numbered them in Bezek; and the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
And they said to the messengers who had come, Thus shall you speak to the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead:
Tomorrow you will have help, when the sun is in its heat. The messengers brought this news to the people of Jabesh, who were overjoyed;
And they said to the Ammonites, “Tomorrow we will come to you, and you may do with us as you please.
The next day Saul divided the people into three companies. They entered the Ammonites’ camp in the early hours of the morning, and beat them until the heat of the day. Those who escaped were scattered, and no two were left together.
The people said to Samuel, “Who was it who said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us? Hand these men over, and we will put them to death.
*But Saul said, No man shall be put to death this day; for this day The LORD has delivered Israel.
And Samuel said to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, to confirm the kingdom there.
So all the people went to Gilgal, and made Saul king before The LORD in Gilgal. There they offered sacrifices of peace-offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel made great rejoicing.
Pray that the decisions of your superiors will be influenced by God.
Beloved, we want to tell you this morning that God’s will brings us good news.
The Bible says that the king’s heart is like a stream of water; the Lord inclines it where he wills.
When the Lord allows the decision-makers to be ours, everything is favourable before us.
Where pits were dug to bring us down, Yaweh gives us victory,
All those who plotted death against us are put to shame.
So let us pray for the favour of our Lord so that our superiors may lead us with confidence.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
