My Month Of Humility! Matt18:4

When you’ve learned a lesson well, even fifty years from now, you repeat it.
When the lesson has been well taught, it is impossible for us to make the same mistakes again.
Pride is a sin that we have been working on throughout this month and we are aware of its destruction.
Our only assurance against falling into this vice is to remain attached to the Lord.
To conclude this teaching, we must implore the Lord to show us all the areas of our lives in which we still need to work on pride.
We must constantly ask Yaweh to reveal to us our ungrateful, dishonest, hypocritical side.
Everything we seek in this season is hidden in humility.
Even the Lord has shown us the example, he has made us understand that serving others allows us to amass crowns in heaven rather than being served.
In John 13, the Word tells us: Jesus, who knew that the Father had given all things into his hands, that he had come from God, and that he was going to God,
*Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples` feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
*Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
*Then he came to Simon Peter, and Peter said to him, “Lord, you wash my feet!
*Jesus said to him, “You do not understand what I am doing now, but you will understand it soon.
*Peter said to him, “No, you will never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.
What humility on Jesus’ part, what an incredible gesture!
To stoop as a slave would, a servant.
Peter is embarrassed and refuses to let the superior humbly serve the inferior.
Can we see all the love Jesus had for his disciples before he went to the cross?
We can also understand that Jesus was surrounded by proud people.
We have to be clean before the meal, we have to strip ourselves before coming to the table, but Jesus took action during the meal because no one could stoop to do it.
Everything was ready,
the water was ready,
the basin was available,
the towel was there and the disciples had time to do it, but no one humbled themselves to wash the feet of their companions.
They were just preoccupied with who was the greatest among them.
Jesus loves us,
He washes us with love and gentleness, even though he knows our sins, our weaknesses, our infidelities and our cowardice.
He remains humble and faithful.
Beloved, Jesus lowers himself, humbles himself to wash away our spiritual filth and asks us to remain attached to the value of humility.
Ecclesiastes, 7:8 – Better is the end of a thing than its beginning; better is a patient spirit than a haughty one.
Pray that you will not abandon humility in the future.
We don’t have to finish, clothed in our limitations.
If we allow ourselves to be broken, if we allow the Lord to mould us, we will sit at the table with the master.
So, quietly, let us be ready and calm for the new season.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
