My Month Of Proclamation! Deut32:3

How much attention do we pay to what God has said?
Who really believes in the word they hear?
Sometimes we don’t listen to the word we hear, or we simply forget, or we don’t let it touch our hearts and consciences.
If we allow God’s word to penetrate our lives, God will help us.
The word of God is spread and many do not receive it, we are distracted by our worries and trials, but when it is received and accepted, we will behave like Lydia.
Paul and his friends shared the word of God with a group but only one listened and opened her heart.
In Acts 16 it says: On the Sabbath we went out of the gate to a river, where we thought there was a place of prayer. We sat down and spoke to the women who were gathered together.
One of them, named Lydia, a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, was a God-fearing woman who listened. The Lord opened her heart to listen to what Paul was saying.
When she and her family had been baptized, she asked us, “If you think I am faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay there. And she urged us.
Many people think they can do without the word and live as they please, but let us remember that to reject the word is to reject the way, the truth and the life.
Lydia has decided not to shrink from the present age, but to walk by faith and trust in the Lord.
When we accept Jesus, we carry the word of God with us, influencing those around us so that, together, our service to God is genuine and his presence affects our daily lives.
Lydia accepted God’s word and it worked in her life, benefiting her and her family because she believed.
Lydia had an emptiness that only God can fill.
Not only had Lydia received the message of the Gospel, but she had opened her home so that others could enter and hear it too.
We have a responsibility to speak, to proclaim the word of God, but it is God who opens hearts, so let us sow the seeds of God’s word at every opportunity.
Again this morning, God is calling us to evangelise.
Our families, our friends, our children are lost because we refuse to present them with the truth that always makes the difference.
Pray to accept the word so as to become a true giver of it.
John, 12:48 – He who rejects me and does not accept my words has his judge; the word that I spoke will judge him on the last day.
This is the word of God before us. Whether we accept it or reject it depends on us, but we must know that on the last day, it will be the word of God that will decide, without distinction of any kind.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
