Psalms, 23:5 – You set a table before me in the presence of my adversaries; you anoint my head with oil, and my cup overflows.
Fast and pray for abundance and distinction in your life.
This verse is about fellowship.
The table is set by the Lord.
Everything is there, the tablecloth and cutlery…
We are the Lord’s guests,
he is the one who organises the feast,
he’s the one who wants to celebrate the life and victory we’ve had.
So he’s waiting for us.
Beloved, to share the Lord’s table, we must respect the principles that accompany communion.
We must wash our feet,
cleanse ourselves and rid ourselves of all forms of defilement in order to present ourselves before the King of kings.
When we are invited to the table, a certain protocol is imposed on us.
We must repent and be reconciled with everyone,
we must be filled with the ministry of reconciliation,
we must make room for forgiveness, for the renewal of our thoughts.
The question on our minds is, how can we rejoice when our adversaries witness our happiness?
How can we be at ease when those who wish us ill continue to observe us?
How can we be happy when those who frustrate and control us are right in front of us?
When those who constantly set traps for us are right there with us?
The good news is that Jesus is present at the table,
he is with us.
He is our security,
he is our strength,
He is our refuge.
Let’s continue this story by saying that the adversaries mentioned are well known,
we see them,
we feel them,
we experience them and it is before them that the Lord sets the table.
We need to know that oil brings distinction, difference…
The oil is the anointing, it’s a privilege to receive this mark.
The Lord wants us to shine,
he wants the world to know that we are heirs to his throne,
that we are a holy nation,
an acquired people.
That’s why he needs to put his seal on our lives, so that from now on we will have a fragrance of good odour.
When the Lord receives us at his table, he gives us his mark of honour,
it is clear that what follows will be abundance.
It’s full, it’s overflowing, the Lord has exaggerated…
He did not hesitate to prove to our enemies that he is the Lord of hosts,
he is the one who rises from the dust.
Nothing is lost yet if we experience anguish, fear and failure, God is coming…
The table will be set, the oil will be on our heads and the cup will overflow.
Those people who think evil of us will see the glory of God in our lives,
they will know that we serve a living God and they will tell of the wonders of our Yaweh.
Father, teach us as you do to love and honour others.
Give us the ability to uplift others and enable them to be better versions of themselves.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
