My Month Of Gratitude! 1Thes5:18

As Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman, to show him her love, brought an alabaster vase containing a perfume of nard of great price and anointed him with it.
The disciples asked angrily why this mess had been made and Jesus ordered them not to upset the woman any more, because she had done a good deed for him.
What action did we take to show Jesus our love for him?
Was it our time? our money?
our talents?
Our treasure?
It doesn’t matter whether it’s expensive or not, whether we appreciate it or criticise it.
What counts is the love that accompanies our movement.
The Lord knows our hearts. This episode happened on the eve of Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion.
Impelled by discernment, she broke her perfume and poured it over Jesus’ head; this sacrifice has a spiritual significance.
The Lord wanted this gesture to be told to the whole world,
he puts his seal on it.
Every time we pay the price for a covenant
we always have people to remind us that we are in the wrong, that pouring perfume on Jesus
is throwing it in the gutter.
We call it a waste, but Jesus calls it a good work.
Maybe this woman had lost her identity, maybe she wasn’t appreciated, but her action opened the doors to glory and put her centre stage.
It was this woman’s perfume that gave her the courage to invite herself to the party, and her good work meant that she was talked about wherever the gospel was preached.
Fast and pray to continually do good works for God.
Matthew, 26:10 – When Jesus saw it, he said to them, “Why are you upsetting this woman? She has done a good deed for me;
The disciples understood nothing,
They walk with Jesus,
They pray with Jesus, but they have no grasp of the things of the spirit.
They take a dim view of what is approved in heaven, but Jesus, in all his greatness, celebrates all those who give him honour.
So let us know that if we make the diversions for the Lord, he will also do it for us.
Yours sincerely
May the Lord bless us.
Good day to you
