If we are indecisive people, we will not live by faith,
If we are unsolved, our decisions will be divided,
If we are unstable, we will find it difficult to consolidate our kingship,
If we’re uncertain we’ll always be wrong
If we are inconstant, we will not go to the other side.
Let’s drive the hesitation out of our lives,
let’s drive procrastination out of our daily lives,
Let us remove doubt from our hearts and our thoughts.
Hesitation handicaps us, it prevents us from achieving our goals.
Jesus walked on the water, Peter wanted to imitate him but he did not trust Jesus’ word of authority which gave him the right to do the same.
Very often, the force of the wind sets up gray areas in our mind and disconnects us from our blessing.
It is because he looked at his limits, his difficulties, he looked away from Jesus that Peter sank into the waters.
We are not steadfast in the ways of the Lord, we are not subject to divine standards, which is why our faith and steadfastness vary with the circumstances.
When things are going well we are calm and confident, but when the going gets tough we are filled with disbelief and doubt.
Always Peter and his friends sinned all night, they only needed to be blessed to be able to provide for themselves.
They were experienced men, it was their habit to go fishing, they mastered the workings of fishing but that night, disappointment was there and there was no result.
Stressed and discouraged, they washed their materials to put them away and go home empty-handed.
But Jesus calls them back, he wants to give them grace, he wants to bless them.
He calls out to Pierre who complains of having tried all night without success but because of the word of the Lord, he obeyed.
Jesus also made Peter understand that they worked their way and invites them to go into deep waters.
Jesus wanted them to understand that failure should not prevent them from believing in the miracle.
He also wanted to make Peter understand to depend on him and to obey him.
Luke, 5: 4 – When he had ceased to speak, he said to Simon, Go into the water, and cast your nets to fish.
Fast and pray to move without hesitation following God’s word.
Don’t waste our time worrying,
Do not exhaust ourselves in hatred,
Don’t let the distraction rob us.
Let’s go,
Let’s serve,
Praise,
Let’s go fishing.
We are an established people and we owe it to ourselves to walk with faith and assurance because the devil is at our feet.
