To fear God is to respect him, to honor him, to make him our one and only God, to understand his omnipotence.
To fear God is not to be afraid of him, it is to become aware of our fragility.
God is not an inaccessible God, he is not a God who puts distance between us, he does not reject us, he does not condemn us, he wants to draw us to himself, he loves us.
David in his psalms does not speak of those who mock God, he does not evoke those who refuse his word but the psalmist highlights those who received the word of God, those who worship him in spirit and in truth , those who repent of their sins, those who serve Jesus.
God’s compassion is his love, his generosity, his desire to do good.
The Lord’s compassion does not mean that everything is permitted to us and that we can do anything.
The compassion of the Lord should push us to change our lives, it is effective for those who fear him.
God is a father to those who fear him.
A father always has compassion for his children, that does not mean that their relationship is always good.
David and Absalom were in conflict.
Absalom raped his sister, he revolted and wanted to snatch the throne from his father David and despite everything, David had compassion on his son.
Compassion is no longer relevant, we are too proud, too proud, full of ourselves.
Having pity these days is seen as contempt, as discount, as condescension.
The Lord is a compassionate God, He knows we need compassion.
But let’s know one thing, the Lord’s compassion is for those who fear him, those who adore him.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, the Bible tells us.
A fool does not fear the Lord, nor people who do not worship God, who do not consider him.
If we want to be wise, fear God, be more attentive to the commandments of God.
Wisdom is humility, it is being aware of one’s weaknesses and baseness, it is letting God come to our aid, help us and support us.
This is what David tells us in Psalms, 103:13 – As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Pray for the fear of God to grow in you.
The love of our parents is always present no matter what we do, can we imagine the infallible support of the Eternal if we have access to his intimacy?
The love of God is perfect for those who know who our Jesus is.
To fear him is to make him our love, to return to our first love, to let him be our shepherd.
So let us surrender at his feet and he will do what our hearts desire.
Hello beloved
Have a good day
