My Month Of Benevolence ! Jn15:12

The instruction given to us this morning by the Lord is delicate.
The Lord confronts us with a fact that we live every day.
It is about loving your enemies.
How is it possible to love those who hurt us?
How is it possible that we are in relationship with people who break us.
It is shocking to ask us such a thing.
How can an unbeliever perceive this without resistance?
God is asking us to do something that is difficult to apply.
It is a challenge to love your enemy, it is even impossible.
But Jesus asks us to love our enemies.
He does not ask our approval, he imposes it on us, he orders us.
Love is not a feeling, nor an emotion, nor sex, it is a sacrificial act, it is a gift.
In Matthew 5:44 – But I say to you: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
Fast and pray to be able to love your enemies.
The will of God is clearly revealed, he says to love, to bless, never to curse even if it is an enemy.
We cannot spend our time living and brooding over bitterness and anger, that’s the devil.
We can’t be Christians and nurture that kind of thing, love and hate can’t coexist in one place.
When we love our enemies, we manifest the character of God.
The enemy is the one who is against us, who seeks to harm us.
The enemy Jesus speaks of are the people who are close to us and who hurt us, people who took advantage of us and made us their victims.
Let’s stop avoiding our enemies, let’s greet them with kindness.
Jesus challenges us all, he invites us to see beyond our enemies, human beings, as people made in the image of God.
Let’s do good, let’s get them to understand, let’s help them heal despite what they do.
Let us pray that we will learn to love quite simply.
We also need the enemies to outdo us.
Hello to us
Have a good day
