It suffices to take a tour of our neighborhoods, to visit the bars and crossroads to understand that idleness is well seated in our midst.
We see people getting up in the morning, getting together to talk about player salaries or politics all day long, we see people who are not shy about depending on their parents when they are fit, even in our churches, not being busy is a lifestyle.
To that, God says NO!
He did not recommend laziness to us, he invites us to work to carry out the tasks he has entrusted to us.
Let us know that inactivity steals our dignity.
The bible says that if someone doesn’t want to work, let him not eat either,
Stop relying on others, stop depending on others, stay away from lazy people who can corrupt us.
How can we tell each other about Jesus when we are not bearing fruit, when our lives are not testimonies?
How do we want to impact others when we are lazy ourselves?
Idleness has no place in church, Paul was a servant of God, although he could live on hospitality, he decided not to be dependent on others, he was a tent maker, c ‘was his job.
Paul insists on putting things in order, he reproaches us for our laziness and informs us that we must deserve what we eat.
Nowadays, everyone must find a place in society through schooling or through the exercise of a profession.
Many say they are busy yet they waste their time, they cannot use these moments to communicate with God or to devote themselves.
They would rather go around in circles than to do the work of God, to serve themselves in the house of the Lord.
Another thing, serving the Lord is a grace that the Lord gives us, we are happy when we work in big companies, we feel honored when we work for personalities but what about the King of kings?
We despise the work we do for God, it bothers us, it discourages us.
The Word of God says the harvest is great but there are few workers.
Why ?
We are not committed, we just want to be served, we lack people of character, ready to defend the mink.
It is dangerous to let ourselves go into idleness, that is why we have a serious warning in Ecclesiastes, 4: 5 – The fool crosses his hands, and eats his own flesh.
Fast and pray to hate idleness!
Who is the fool?
He is a madman, he is the one who does not think, he is ignorant, he is the one who lacks common sense.
When our hands are crossed, we are in a situation of comfort, security, rest …
How can a thoughtless person sit still like nothing has happened?
How can a lazy person be at peace and joy?
The idle sits and lies down because he knows where he draws his help from, he lives off the hooks of others, he is in need, he is unable to provide for his own needs.
So let’s lift our eyes, look at our fields, and get to work.
Doing nothing kills our abilities,
poisons our destiny,
put our gifts and talents to sleep.
If God has been busy, if God has worked a whole week to create, shape and embellish, we in turn have an interest in imitating him for his glory.
Hello Beloved
Have a good day
