If we continue not to know how to seize our opportunities, we will always miss out on our blessings.
Many of us lack discernment, we don’t have diplomacy, subtlety, we don’t know how to react according to the timing, we want to put prejudices everywhere and we very often miss opportunities to pass to the other side.
David was no one until Saul gave him the opportunity to express his talent.
David would have remained a shepherd in his father’s fields, no one should ever recognize him as a leader if fear had seized him.
Everyone was backing away from Goliath, even Saul who was a warrior, a valiant soldier who had won several fights.
David came from an uneventful, self-effacing family, and King Saul attached several promises to this victory that could change not only David’s identity but the position of his family.
David surrendered himself into the hands of the Lord and he defeated Goliath.
David became an influential man and the king’s stepson.
We don’t have the courage to take action, we don’t want to run any risk of humility, we don’t want to sacrifice but we want to tell ourselves this morning, that if we want to see our stories changed, we have to stand up to face the situations that can slow us down.
Solomon was king but he understood that it is not enough to contemplate his kingship, it is not enough to be seated on the throne, it is important to strengthen his reign, so he decided to offer a thousand oxen as a sacrifice to the Lord and to receive the wisdom he needed to be fulfilled.
Our actions propel us and define us.
Let’s not waste our lives,
Let’s not ruin our testimonies,
Let’s not take decisions lightly, let’s get it right.
Leviticus, 13:16 – If the living flesh changes and becomes white, he will go to the priest;
Pray to do the right things at the right time.
For leprosy to be diagnosed, the patient must show symptoms.
The Israelite who suspected a skin disease had to show himself to the priest, the only one competent to affirm the presence or the absence of leprosy.
Leprosy is the image of sin which leads to death.
The leper, recognizing his condition, expected everything from the priest who had a decisive role.
It is the priest alone who knows better than anyone what is compatible with the presence of the Lord.
This verse tells us about a believer who recognizes himself as a sinner following a fault and who does not try to hide his condition, his weakness.
He knows he is sick and needs help, he realizes that only Jesus can restore him.
A leper coming to Jesus is immediately healed.
May our actions lead us to do only the will of God and to give it all the place it deserves.
Hello beloved
