My Month Of Sharing ! He13:16

David was a pretentious, arrogant, bold, all of the above, but he was valiant, courageous, energetic.
While his brothers were boasting about working alongside King Saul, David was in the field looking after his father’s sheep.
And there he encountered difficulties, lions that wanted to devour his father’s wealth, snakes that wanted to bite their inheritance, bears that wanted to tear up their possessions.
But the Bible tells us that David did not let himself be taken advantage of, he learned to defend himself, he learned to develop strategies against the enemies of his flock.
This is how this warrior trained himself, this is how he was able to master the techniques of defence and when it came to overthrowing Goliath who was terrorising Israel, everyone even King Saul backed down except David.
The psalmist showed his gift in the midst of all, he killed the terror of his people and they began to celebrate him more than the king and jealousy followed to the point where the king wanted David dead.
We are introducing our theme for this morning.
The Lord warns us that our gift does not open the doors to the enemy as happened to David.
Psalms, 41:10 – The one with whom I was at peace, who trusted in me and ate my bread, lifted up his heel against me.
Pray that your gifts never clear a way for the enemy.
Betrayal of a loved one is part of our reality.
Some people kill their friend for power, position or personal interest, we kill each other.
We are sometimes ready to destroy a church for the sake of honours, we divide ourselves for plots of land.
Beloved, sin has warped our hearts, wickedness has enslaved us, only Jesus can change us.
Let us examine our hearts continually and be true to the Lord.
Good morning to all
Good day to you
