My Month Of Stability! Ps62:2

We all say that we are attached to the Lord but few of us are permanent, constant in this attachment.
It’s easy for us to proclaim that Jesus is great or that he is faithful, it’s normal for us to dance in honour of the Lord when good news reaches us.
But it is when we are shaken by adversity,
when we start to stumble, that’s when we realise that we’re not that strong.
We saw how happy the people of Israel were when the Lord answered their grievances, they sang praises to celebrate him but when a difficulty arose in front of them,
when they had a need,
they rejected the Lord,
they forgot his faithfulness, they murmured,
they exposed their unbelief openly.
We must not serve the Lord for what he gives us,
nor should we worship him because we are waiting.
We must simply cleave to the Lord,
we must draw close to the Lord, we must seek to know him.
When our hearts are attached to Yaweh, we don’t need to panic because we trust him.
David had victory over Goliath because he knew his identity in Christ,
He knew that his God is called the Lord of hosts.
He knew that the Lord would rise up to rescue him.
He was not afraid of the size of his opponent,
David was not swayed by his reputation or his experience.
David knew that the one he served was above the strength of men.
James, 5:8 – You also must be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord is near.
Pray that your heart will be constantly attached to the Lord.
Steadfastness with the Lord means knowing how to stand firm no matter what the situation,
It means being patient,
It means preserving your heart more than anything else for the coming of our Father.
Let us be calm,
let us not be afraid. James addresses words of consolation to the oppressed Christians.
He urges them to wait patiently.
We just have to keep running the race with our Lord, because his mercy lasts forever.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
