My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

After Joshua’s death, the children of Israel continued to consult the Lord, who was their guide.
But only they allowed strangers to live among them.
The Lord can never break his covenant, but he has warned us never to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land he has given us.
He told us to pull down their altars in our midst, but we did not obey his voice.
Because of this disobedience, the Lord refused to drive out the inhabitants of the other countries from before us, so that they might dwell among us, and if they are present, their gods will be a snare for us.
This is how Israel ended up serving other gods and doing what displeased the Lord.
Like Israel, we are easily influenced, we have abandoned the Lord,
we went after other gods,
we have played the harlot with them and provoked the Lord to anger.
So the anger of the Lord was kindled, and he gave us into the hands of robbers who plundered us,
he sold us into the hands of their enemies and we could no longer resist them.
Wherever we went, the hand of the Lord was against us to do us harm.
We found ourselves in great distress and the Lord raised up judges to deliver us from the hand of those who plundered us.
The Lord had pity on our groans against those who oppressed and tormented us.
Let us flee from sin…
Sin is everything that is evil,
anything that displeases the Lord.
And this morning, the instruction is not to let sin dictate its laws to us,
not to let evil triumph over our spirit,
not to let sin take us out of God’s presence.
Pray that you don’t let sin override you.
Lamentations, 5:16 – The crown of our head has fallen! Woe to us, because we have sinned!
Lamentations describes the horrors that the people of Jerusalem experienced after their captivity,
God allowed it to happen,
He was patient and it was the only way to wake us up and return to the Lord.
Our sins are destructive.
Let us not be seduced by sin because it makes us lose our crown.
Sin takes us away from the glory of God,
so it’s up to us to come home and sit under the Father’s feet.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
