My Month Of Promotion! 1Sam2:8

Walking in the Spirit is the thing we should covet most of all.
To walk in the Spirit is to have discernment,
it’s doing God’s will.
It’s one of my mums birthdays today and to mark her fiftieth birthday,
she’s decided to go and evangelise in a market and then,
she’ll go and make donations to an orphanage before anything else.
It’s an idea that will certainly please God.
It’s a fine initiative that isn’t always thought of, but we have to recognise that pleasing God must be our motivation.
We never find the time to go and give love to others,
we don’t bother to reach out,
we don’t want to be generous because the current economic climate prevents us from doing so, but we cannot continue to neglect the poor and expect to be blessed by the Lord.
But this morning, the Lord wants us to be Dorcas,
She was prepared to sacrifice everything to clothe the needy, to feed widows and orphans.
Even when she died, everyone remembered her good deeds.
Let’s remember that God’s love
also means sharing, getting involved in the development of our neighbours,
it means contributing to their advancement.
God’s love teaches us to be patient; God’s love means giving.
Giving of our time,
Giving of your heart,
Giving of your money,
Give of your loveā€¦
1 John, 3:17 – If anyone has the world`s goods and sees his brother in need and closes his heart to him, how does the love of God abide in him?
Show God’s love by giving to the needy.
This verse challenges us, those of us who have the means but refuse to help.
We have many shoes, but we don’t want to give to those in need,
We have enough money but we refuse to give transport money to those who have none.
We must have compassion.
If we possess the goods of this world and we don’t share them with others who are needy,
or just give them the crumbs just to ease our conscience or to be considered, we are fully in sin.
So let us be faithful stewards who know that if God blesses us,
we must do so in return.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
