My Month Of Promotion! 1Sam2:8

We have to learn to give, full stop.
The Lord can’t go back on it for nothing.
Who do we look like with our stinginess?
We don’t want to share our Jesus by going to evangelism.
We refuse to contribute to the well-being of our brothers and sisters.
We don’t even want to hear about it when we have to contribute to the medical expenses of a sick person.
We take a dim view when we set up a partnership system in the church to run it.
Yet when we need to get together with friends,
when we want to treat ourselves to a luxury to take care of our appearance, we don’t hesitate.
When it comes to making a donation for the glory of God, we see the scam,
we no longer understand spiritual principles,
we cry out our lack…
God is not the God of our rubbish,
he’s not the one who takes the leftovers,
he does nothing with our uselessness…
Let’s stop despising our Lord,
Let’s stop humiliating him with things that have no value.
The sad thing is that when we need something important,
something we care about,
we fall on our knees,
we pray, we fast, we want to be answered and fulfilled.
But we are unable to come with our thanksgiving and our songs of joy before the Lord.
We think God is obliged to do,
he’s our do-it-all boy,
that’s what he’s there for, so he doesn’t deserve any recognition.
Beware of these attitudes that displease the Lord,
Beware of this arrogance that leads us not to measure the impact of our sins.
Let’s learn to serve and to give more than we gave yesterday.
And let us not think that we are doing too much with God, because he does infinitely more than we can think or imagine.
So let’s put our ears to the ground and get this instruction right.
Pray to grow in the gifts you give in the house of the everlasting God.
Nehemiah, 10:32 – We also imposed on ourselves ordinances requiring us to give a third of a shekel a year for the service of the house of our God,
We do not give in the house of the Lord because we have,
we give because we want God’s work to advance, we want the gospel to have a witness.
Nehemiah did this because he understood that everything he had came from God, so he could not fail to give the Father’s portion.
So we are invited to give in obedience to God’s word.
