My Month Of Humility! Matt18:4

Here we are at last!
2025, we’ve all been gazing at you from afar and today our feet set foot on you.
We thought you’d never arrive and here you are!
What a grace to be counted among the privileged!
What joy to have been chosen from among those whom God has placed in the palm of his hand?
Oufffff…
2025, we can now see you, touch you… And we are grateful to the Lord.
Some will find this normal,
For others, it’s an achievement, but for us who serve the Lord, it’s a victory.
We are talking about a quarter of a century offered, given, gratified.
What have we done to deserve this?
What have we said to be chosen?
Can you imagine the number of people who have done everything, negotiated with all their wealth, bet their businesses to be able to see this day?
And they couldn’t.
Let us feel honoured,
Let us feel loved,
Feel protected.
Let’s not think that this is a routine where many people think that we take the same things and start again.
That’s not true.
Yesterday, the Lord set us apart,
he set us apart,
he sorted us out,
crowning those to whom he will entrust abilities, gifts,
opportunities,
connections,
ministries…
Today, the selection is made and the blessings are released.
What was a desert for us is becoming fertile land,
What was unproductive and barren for us now bears fruit,
We are not just a blessing, a favour, we are sources of blessing, we radiate favour, authority, power, we are a well from which many draw.
The Lord creates facilities,
he clears paths,
he breaks down resistance,
He breaks down closed and barricaded doors.
He does us good.
Where we were forgotten, despised and rejected
we are now accepted, we are remembered, the Lord clothes us in a mantle of glory.
We bear the fragrance of a field that the Lord has blessed.
So welcome to our new year,
Welcome to 2025.
Welcome to our year of ease.
When Yaya speaks of ease,
he talks about abundance,
he talks about lightening our load, giving us rest,
he’s talking about relaxation, prosperity, simplicity, comfort…
It will be hard for others, but for us, our mouths will not be short of new songs,
It will be complicated for many, but we, the children of God, will be like those who have a dream,
we will rejoice, the Lord will carry us on his wings.
Let us savour the year with power and authority,
Let us savour the year with the strength we have received from Adonai.
Isaiah 58:11 – The Lord will always be your guide. He will satisfy your soul in the dry places, and give strength to your limbs; you will be like a watered garden, like a spring whose waters never run dry.
In this year, the Lord is giving us direction, let us follow him.
In this year, provision is guaranteed even in times of drought.
In this year, our health is guaranteed, Jehovah El Rohi is at work.
In this year, we are a help of destiny for many and our granary will not lack.
So let’s beware of pride when the distinction comes,
Let’s be careful not to fall into arrogance.
Let us know how to return to the Lord,
Let us know how to depend on the Lord,
Let us entrust our sorrows to him.
Let us not forget that the Lord is gracious to the humble.
At least, that’s what he recommends as we start the year.
He suggests that we know how to get down on our feet and let him take our place.
That’s why he named January 2025, our month of Humility.
Matthew, 18:4 – Therefore whoever humbles himself like this little child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Humility = modesty, simplicity, modesty…
The Lord compares humility to children because children depend on their parents, they don’t decide,
they know that their daddy is the strongest, the best, the most powerful…
They want to be like their dad.
They know their daddy is there for them and he protects them.
Let us pray, beloved, to remain seated when God is in control.
Let us pray not to be seen when God’s hand opens doors for us.
Let us pray that we will not trample on others when we are in possession,
Pray to know how to address others even when we have the upper hand.
Pray to be humble at all times.
James, 4:10 – Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
When we think we are weak, then we are strong.
When we think we are poor, then we are rich.
Humility goes hand in hand with elevation…
In this month, let us learn to bow down before God,
let’s not be ashamed to throw ourselves at his feet.
He is our faithful and responsible father.
Happy New Year!
Blessed are we!
Shalom!
